It Started As a Dream...
As a young pup, Vader had grown accustomed to a certain standard of living:
- An early morning walk to take care of “her business” and a biscuit
- Breakfast at 7 AM sharp and a biscuit
- Followed by another short walk and a biscuit
- A day of rest on a soft pillow and afternoon playtime with another biscuit as an afternoon snack
- Dinner sharply at 7 PM and a biscuit
- Evening hours included sitting and snuggling on the couch while watching TV and a biscuit
- An evening stroll in the moonlight to take care of “her business” and a biscuit
- And bedtime on a king sized bed with a pillow-top mattress, snuggled between her two humans who loved her very much.
As time went on, her humans encountered the usual day-to-day stresses of trying to earn a living. Job demands increased, leading to longer hours; work-related travel became frequent; life just became more hectic. Trying to find the best alternative for Vader that would allow her to maintain her routine and be comfortable while her humans were away, became a challenge and caused a lot of stress in the household.
Then one night while Vader was asleep dreaming of squeaky toys, butterfly kisses and biscuits, she had an epiphany…
Her faithful companion, Robin Perdue, should leave the corporate world and refocus her attention on pets in need. It was a dual-purpose solution, as Vader saw it. One; this would allow Robin to spend more time with Vader, ensuring that Vader’s standard of living remained at the level she was accustomed to. And two, which was every bit as important as far as Vader was concerned; Robin could spread the love and dedicate her time to enhancing the health and well-being of other animals.
And so, (drum roll please)… VIP Pet Sitting was born … more than 49 dog years ago.
