I have had animals my entire life. I grew up with cats, dogs, and rabbits. My husband and I have a twenty pound fluffy tuxedo cat named Frances. He is our fancy boy and is very talkative, cuddly, and loves people!
What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?
A funny/memorable moment I have is from when I was growing up. One year for Easter, my Grandparents gave my sister and I two girl rabbits… or so we thought. My parents “rabbit proofed” our back yard, and our rabbits lived under our deck and would hop around the yard. Every night, we would sit out in the grass with lettuce and carrots and the rabbits would come out to eat. One day, only one of the rabbits came out. Curious, we started looking around, and heard some noise underneath one of the planks of the deck. My Dad pulled up the plank, and underneath was a litter of bunnies! One of the rabbits was a boy and the other was a girl, so we eventually ended up having eighteen rabbits. We kept them all and had them fixed so we would not end up with a (bigger) bunny family. Discovering the litter of baby bunnies was a happy accident!
Why do you love working with animals?
I love working with animals because they are all individuals with personalities, just like people! I enjoy getting to know them and love playing and caring for them.
What is your ultimate goal in life?
As for an ultimate goal in life, I want to have a happy and fulfilled existence with lots of fluffy furry friends.
