Since 2001, one thing has stayed constant: the pet in front of us matters.

It’s in the Details

Their personality. Their routine. The medication that has to happen at a certain time. The cat who needs a little space. The puppy who absolutely does not care that you have a 2 PM meeting.

Those details help shape the care — and the people trusted to provide it.

Recognized Along the Way

Veterinarian Endorsed. Multi Award-Winning. Trusted Since 2001.

Twenty-five years of professional pet care have earned VIP more than the trust of thousands of pet parents. VIP is veterinarian endorsed and has been recognized with multiple awards for pet care and service.

The awards mean a lot. So do the recommendations from veterinary professionals. But perhaps the strongest proof is simpler: clients who’ve trusted VIP with their pets and homes for more than two (2) decades.

Austin roots. Dallas career. One very unexpected career change.

Austin roots. Dallas career. One very unexpected career change.

Robin grew up in Austin bringing home just about every animal her family would tolerate — kittens, tadpoles, lizards, snakes and frogs included.

After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, she moved to Dallas and spent 12 years working in marketing. When that chapter ended, a friend suggested pet sitting while Robin figured out what came next.

She never really looked back.

In 2001, Robin founded Very Important Pets, LLC, creating a professional pet sitting and dog walking company for busy pet parents who wanted their pets cared for at home.

What began with Robin caring for pets herself grew into the multi-city VIP Pet Services team serving the Dallas Metro and Austin Metro today.

The Board of Directors

Every great company needs strong leadership. At VIP Pet Services, ours just happens to have four legs.

Our Board of Directors keeps a watchful eye on the humans running the company and makes sure the interests of Very Important Pets are always represented. With extensive expertise in treats, walks, belly rubs, quality naps and the occasional strategic disruption of a Zoom meeting, they’re uniquely qualified for the job.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE CARE

Personal Pet Care takes a professional team.

Your pet sitter may be the person who walks through the door, but they aren’t working alone.

VIP pet sitters and dog walkers are screened, mentored and supported by an experienced team for the responsibility of caring for both your pet and your home.

Behind them is an experienced office team helping coordinate schedules, communication and the details surrounding each reservation.

And because pets don’t fit neatly into one checklist, neither does their care. Senior routines. Medication. Anxiety. Mobility needs. Puppy schedules.

Your pet’s personality, routine and individual needs help shape the care they receive.

What 25 Years Has Taught Us

The details are the care.

After more than 150,000 pet care visits, we’ve learned that great pet care isn’t about doing more for the sake of doing more. It’s about knowing what matters to the pet in front of you.

1

Know the Pet.

Their personality, routine, preferences and individual needs matter.

2

Take Responsibility Seriously.

We’re caring for your pet and stepping into your home. Our sitters understand the responsibility that comes with both.

3

Keep Pet Parents Connected.

Detailed visit updates help you know what’s happening at home while you’re away.

4

Put a Team Behind the Care.

Your sitter provides the personal care. An experienced office team supports the details behind it.

5

Never Stop Learning.

Thousands of pets and 150,000+ visits have taught us that good systems matter — but paying attention matters just as much.
