All pet sitters, pet care providers and dog walkers must either have pets of their own or have had pets in the past. As a pet sitter/dog walker, the pets under your care must be your top priority. Quality of service and reliability are of the utmost importance.
Midday dog walks generally take place between 11 AM – 3 PM, Mon. – Fri.
Pet sitters generally work mornings (around 6-8 am, flexible time), some mid-days (around 11-2 pm, time varies, usually very flexible), and evenings (after 6 pm, but no later than 9 pm) based on people’s travel, but generally some weekdays, weekends and holidays.
We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and a self starter with reliable transportation, voice mail, email, and a cell phone.
Our pet sitters and dog walkers enjoy a high rate of pay per assignment, annual pay increases and bonuses.
Thanks so much for your time. We look forward to hearing from you!

About The Company
We are a progressive pet loving company that honors the needs of our human clients aka the pet owners, because caring for them is just as important as caring for their fur babies.
Sharing that deep bond fuels the responsive relationships between our 50 plus sitters, seasoned team leads, and office staff who are paired with pets and their busy owners in the Dallas and Austin metro.
With an extensive training program for our sitters and leadership opportunities, it’s no accident that our ongoing support attracts top notch sitters who stay with VIP Pets for an average of three years— one sitter has been with us for eight years! We’re thrilled and honored to have a business that has been serving Texas pet owners since 2001.
What have our pets and their owners taught us over the years?
No shame in our loving game. We care for pets and their humans unapologetically. For the pets, we ensure they are happy, healthy and loved. For the humans, we make their experience simple, easy and leave them feeling supported and content.
Every owner gets the VIP treatment. We value you by giving you the VIP treatment you deserve. We make sure you feel supported at every turn and your pet gets the same care from us as if you were there.
Communication is our core strength. VIP Pets is like your best friend— we’re casual, easygoing, accessible, and a good listener. Our focus is on delivering a high value, high touch experience both online and offline. What’s the VIP Pets staff training process?
In the initial hiring and screening of staff we conduct a “fact check” and interview process to ensure we understand the sitter’s personality, professionalism and commitment to pet care. We also give them an overview of our company and what it takes to be a sitter who not only cares for pets, but is also a caretaker for our client’s home in their absence.
We pair them with a seasoned sitter or team lead for mentoring so they can learn what it’s like to be a VIP pet sitter. Then they participate in a four day training session covering every aspect of working on the VIP team from pet sitting to caring for the client’s home, so we can set our team up to succeed.
Bi-weekly team calls and newsletters are sent to the sitters for additional training and learning ways to wow the client. There’s a lot of interaction between the office staff and the team to keep morale high and make sure everyone is on the same page.
Our top sitters are rewarded and receive recognition when our clients tell us they are doing a great job, because we love getting positive feedback from the pet owners. All of our pet sitters and dog walkers must live or work within their service area and either have pets of their own, or have had pets in the past.
