Resident pets
My husband and I have 7 dogs and 3 cats. Our dogs are Shorty, Owen, Patrick, Sylvester, Lily Belle, Blueberry, and Olive. Our cats are Basil, Chloe, and Claire. All of our dogs are rescues, except for Lily Belle, whom I inherited from my mother when she passed away.
What is the funniest or most embarrassing thing you’ve experienced with an animal?
Owen is pictured with me in the photo. A few years ago, we were waiting in the drive-thru at Shipley’s Doughnuts, when Owen decided to jump from the car window and run to the drive-through window when he smelled the doughnuts. I had to leave my car to retrieve him, but the ladies at the window gave him an entire box of doughnut holes.
What is your ultimate goal in life?
My ultimate goal in life is to be a Physician Assistant or attend medical school. I feel like I have already accomplished a lot in earning my master’s degree and becoming a psychotherapist, but medicine is something that I have always dreamed of doing.
I love working with animals because they provide unconditional love and joy.
