Resident Pets
I currently have two wonderful babies. Rylee is my Sheltie and Bella is my Australian shepherd mix. They both love cuddling with mom and running around chasing after each other. Rylee keeps up with Bella even with the age difference! They both love being outside but enjoy a nice bone inside when they can’t be out.
What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?
When I first adopted Rylee, I was in college. I had a roommate who wasn’t a big fan of dogs. Overtime, Rylee won her heart but she never really like touching him with her hands. She instead started petting him with her feet. He started to enjoy this and would come up to people who had their feet up or legs crossed and encourage them to pet him with their feet. To this day he still enjoys when someone rubs their feet on him!
Why do you love working with animals?
Animals are just amazing in themselves. They are forever loving, grateful and forgiving. Being able to work with them makes me feel happy. Providing some kind of service to help make their lives happier does the same for me!
What is your ultimate goal in life?
My ultimate goal is to be able to spend my days doing something I love doing but that also helps society in some way. I’ve always loved working with animals and hope that one day I can dedicate all my time to working with rescue animals and finding them forever homes.
