Tell us about your pets?

I have a beautiful Great Pyrenees named Ellie. I adopted her from a rescue all the way in Atlanta. She has been my best friend in the world ever since, and the floofiest land cloud you’ve ever seen! Ellie flies like a celeb, does hip hop dance class with me, and pretty much wakes me up every night barking with her buddies around Dallas. It’s Ellie’s world (I’m just living in it)!

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?

The funniest, most memorable moment I’ve had with an animal was during grad school rotations at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. I was testing the flight of baby owls one day when a bold baby owl flew past my face, shooting wet, warm poo into my eye.

Why do you love working with animals?

I love working with animals because they are fun company, adorable, innocent, and in need of great care.
