Resident Pets

I have a cat named Olive and she is approximately 4 years old (she was found on the street in east Austin). She is the most playful and loving cat, always wanting to chase her mouse toys and snuggle. Shes also super smart and catches onto things quickly. I’m so happy we found eachother!

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?

I was watching my friend’s dog, Blizzard, and when I came over to the house by myself he was very scared and barking a lot. So I thought, I need treats and the leash so I can win him over. I sat down and gave him some treats and he was instantly in love with me, and then we went on a walk so I could win him over some more hah! After that, he would come running to me any time I visited my friend’s house. My goal was to gain his trust so he wasn’t scared and he felt comfortable around me, and it worked like a charm!

Why do you love working with animals?

They’re such sweet, loving creatures and I really enjoy being able to give them love and attention so they feel special. Plus they always make me happy when I’m around them!
