My dog is a 16-year-old Westie–Maltese mix, and while age has slowed her down a little, it certainly hasn’t dimmed her spirit. She still looks forward to her daily walks, loves going for car rides, and never says no to a tasty snack. Her playful personality and spunky attitude are as strong as ever, and she’s always keeping an eye out for her next treat. Caring for her has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and giving every pet the love and attention they deserve at every stage of life.

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?

One of my favorite experiences with animals was caring for a dog who greeted every walk like it was the greatest adventure of their life. No matter the weather or how many times we’d walked the same route, their excitement was contagious. They’d stop to say hello to everyone they met and somehow always managed to make people smile. Moments like that remind me why I love spending time with animals—their personalities are unique, they keep you laughing, and they make every day a little brighter.

Why do you love working with animals?

I’ve always loved being around animals because every pet has its own unique personality. I enjoy building trust with them, making them feel safe and comfortable, and giving pet owners peace of mind while they’re away. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, it’s rewarding to know I’m helping pets stay happy, healthy, and cared for in their own routine. There’s nothing better than earning a wagging tail, happy purr, or excited greeting.
