Three animal-focused fundraisers in Austin share a date: Saturday, November 14. One welcomes your dog, one is a ticketed evening for people, and one ends that day and can be supported online from home. This guide sorts them by who can attend, so you can plan around your own dog.

These are outings and donations you choose on your own. VIP Pet Services is not affiliated with these organizations, and VIP does not take dogs to events. We checked each organizer’s page on November 2, 2026. Details can change, so confirm with the organizer before you go.

Bring your dog: Mighty Texas Dog Walk & Expo

The Mighty Texas Dog Walk & Expo is on Saturday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parade Ground at Camp Mabry, 2200 W. 35th Street, Austin 78703. The organizer says 100% of proceeds go to Service Dogs, Inc.

What the organizer’s page lists:

  • Admission: $40 general admission is listed on the organizer’s page; check it for current prices. Tickets are per person.
  • Dogs: one dog per person, on a leash throughout. There is no off-leash area.
  • Entry: every adult entering Camp Mabry needs a valid ID, checked at the guard gate.
  • Parking: free.
  • The walk: a flat one-mile route, and you can skip the walk.
  • On site: veterinary first aid, four water stops and wading pools.
  • Also listed: children pay the same price, strollers are free, and there is no early packet pickup.

The organizer’s page does not say whether dogs need proof of vaccination. Ask the organizer before you go.

Events for people (check pet policy): EmanciPARTY

EmanciPARTY is Emancipet’s ticketed annual gala, on Saturday, November 14, at 6 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Austin, 208 Barton Springs Road, Austin 78704. The evening includes cocktails, a seated dinner and a live auction, and the listed attire is “Upscale Austin.” The gala supports Emancipet’s mission of making veterinary care affordable and accessible.

This is an evening gala for guests. The organizer’s page does not say whether pets may attend, so check with Emancipet before you plan on bringing one. For current pricing and availability, see the official EmanciPARTY page.

Give online: Pug-A-Thon

The Pug-A-Thon, from Pug Rescue of Austin, is an online fundraiser that runs October 15 through November 14. You can donate or create your own fundraising page. There is nothing to attend and no dog required, so it fits any schedule.

Before you go

A short checklist for a crowded dog outing:

  • Check the organizer’s page the day before for updates.
  • Use a leash and an ID tag with a current phone number.
  • Bring water for your dog, even with water stops on site.
  • Give other dogs and people room, and keep your dog close in crowds.
  • Be ready to leave if your dog is uncomfortable.
  • For ticketed events for people, confirm the pet policy first.

For parks and patios to visit with your dog on other days, see the Austin Pet Guide.
