Dog walking is priced by the walk, and a few simple choices decide what each walk costs. This guide explains what drives the cost of dog walking in Frisco so you can read a rate sheet with confidence. VIP’s current rates are on our rates page. This article explains what moves them.
Why There Is No Single “Frisco Price”
A 30-minute neighborhood walk, a 60-minute walk and an on-demand walk on short notice are different services with different rates, so one average price tells you very little. A more useful question is what a walk includes, what changes the rate and what is listed up front.
What Drives the Cost of Dog Walking
Walk length
VIP offers private walks of 30, 45 or 60 minutes. A longer walk costs more because your dog has more time to move, explore and enjoy the neighborhood. Choose the length that fits your dog’s energy and your schedule. To see what every walk includes, read our guide to hiring a dog walker in Frisco.
Number of dogs
Dogs from the same household can walk together when appropriate, and an additional-pet charge applies. When dogs need separate walks, additional charges can apply as well.
Recurring or single walks
Recurring walks cost less per walk. Clients who book three or four walks a week, or five or more, earn a per-walk discount on 30, 45 and 60-minute walks. The rates page lists the current amounts.
On-demand walks and timing
On-demand walks are for days when your plans change without much notice. They are available from 8 AM to 7 PM for clients with a lockbox or keyless home entry, and a surcharge applies. Early or late timing, short-notice booking and last-minute cancellations can also carry additional fees. The rates page lists each one.
How to Compare Dog Walking Rates
Compare what each rate covers, not only the number. Look at:
- The length of the walk and what it includes
- Whether the walk is private or shared with other dogs
- Whether extra dogs, early or late timing, short notice and cancellations cost more
- Whether fees are published or only quoted after you ask
Ask for rates in writing before you book. A clear rate sheet is a good sign that the rest of the service is organized too.
Questions to Ask About Cost
- What walk lengths do you offer, and what does each cost?
- What is the charge for an additional dog?
- Is there a discount for a recurring schedule?
- Which fees apply for early or late walks and short notice?

- Can I see your rates in writing before I book?
Red Flags That Should Make You Pause
- Vague answers about pricing, or no willingness to give a written quote
- Fees that only appear after you have booked
- No clear account of what a walk includes
- No information about how you will hear about each walk
