Resident Pets

I have three beautiful female kitties: Nikki–10 yearsold, long-haired black & white; Linda–7 years old, a torbie; and Liza–also 7 years old, a silver and black tabby. Linda and Liza are sisters. They are all rescues. Nikki came to me from The Colony Animal Shelter, and Linda and Liza came to me from Texas CARES. I am very fortunate that they all get along very well. Liza has a heart murmur, and she gets a pill three times a day.

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?

My most memorable experience was growing up with my sliver silky terrier, Tang. My parents brought her home when I was six and she lived for 16 years. She followed me everywhere and slept with me every night until I left for college at 18.

Why do you love working with animals?

I find working with animals incredibly rewarding. I learn from them, I get love from them, and I am a better person with them.
