Resident Pets

I don’t currently have any pets, but I take care of the ones I watch as if they were my own.

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?

I had sister cats that weren’t quite a year old. We had just moved into a new apartment and everything was new. The cats shared a domed-lid litter box and were already uncertain about the new environs. In the middle of the night, what I heard startled me out of the sheets! A huge commotion and a lot of scampering. I could only guess at what happened, as I found the lid to the litter box in the middle of the living room. One had entered the litter box while the other one was already inside. They scared the daylights out of each other and tried to escape at the same time, carrying the lid with them! Somehow, we had survived our first night in our new apartment.

Why do you love working with animals?

Their personalities really amuse me and make me want to do a great job when their owners are away.
