March 6 – 12 is Professional Pet Sitters Week! It’s not hard to imagine, but at VIP Pets – we are big fans of pet sitters and are fortunate to have a group of rock stars on our team. We can’t thank them enough for all the wonderful work they do for our clients and their pets!
Pet sitters do a lot more than feed pets while their owners are away. Good pet sitters also spend quality time with the pets they’re taking care of, bring them on walks, and pay attention to problems that might merit veterinary attention. Pet sitters often also offer extra services, such as watering plants and bringing in mail – covering all the bases so that while you’re away from home, you don’t have to worry.
Professional pet sitters are also trained to work with a variety of animals and are people who love pets themselves. At VIP Pets, our pet sitters have passed background and reference checks and are all trustworthy and responsible animal lovers who do everything they can to make sure your pets are safe, healthy, and happy when you can’t be there yourself.
Pet sitters provide pets with a comfortable, safe, and fun alternative to kennels, and give their all to take care of your pet just as you would if you were home.
This week, you can show appreciation for your pet sitter by being a great pet owner and client! Make your reservations early, make sure your pets are wearing current identification tags when applicable, keep your pet’s vaccinations up to date and be sure to leave clear instructions for your pet sitter before you leave.
