Resident Pets

I currently do not own any pets (which is a FIRST for me)! I have owned cats and dogs for my entire life up until recently and cannot wait to bring a new furry friend into my home in the near future!

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?

I had a sweet cat named Leo who would go on walks with me off leash for almost an entire mile! When we would come back home after walking, his favorite thing to do was sprawling out in the bathroom sink- I’m pretty sure he thought he was a puppy with how much he liked water and going on walks! Around that same time, I also had a miniature long haired dachshund named Lola who won 3rd place in the Dayton dachshund races one year- needless to say, I was a proud dog Momma that day!

Why do you love working with animals?

Animals have always been a kind of therapy for me- the love and affection they have for their humans is just really life-giving. Even on the really tough days, it’s hard not to smile when you have a sweet furry companion to love on.
