Resident Pets

My family has 2 labrador mixes names Zeus and
Carmen! They are the best babies ever! They love to
play tag and tug of war and Carmen will always curl
up next to me during naps and bedtime. Zeus loves to
crawl underneath my bed and sleep there. I am also
currently in the process of adopting my own animal!

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?

I once spent 20 minutes watching one of the dogs I sit
chase her own shadow!

I also read that you can judge how smart dogs are by
putting a piece of cloth over their head and seeing
how long it takes them to remove the cloth, so I put a
cloth on my dog’s head and he stood still for about 10
seconds, and then laid down with the clothes still on
his head LOL!

Why do you love working with animals?

I love working with animals because they’re the most
trusting and innocent creatures and yet are some of
the most endangered. They offer love and trust
without conditions. I love to care for and nurture them
and in turn I get to see each one of their fun
personalities. They’re all so different! I feel that working
with animals challenges me and teaches me new
lessons all of the time. Its hard work, but very
rewarding.
