Resident Pets

I have two dogs who have completely different
personalities. One is a 11 year old chocolate lab and a
7 month old rescue min pin mix. My chocolate lab is
very sweet and gentle while my min pin is a small,
very energetic, and let’s just say crazy. They are totally
opposites, but they keep me active and make the
perfect pair.

What is the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve have with an animal?

I think the most memorable experience I have had
with an animal was my own rescue min pin mix. The
moment I saw her I knew she was the one. It was my
first time rescuing a dog and I was super excited to
see her. As soon as the cage opened it was like love at
first sight.

Why do you love working with animals?

I love working with animals because they have such a
positive effect on our lives. You build a trusting
relationship with them and you get to feel the love
they give you. I worked at a veterinary clinic for two
years and it taught me a lot about how having the
patience and gentle care with animals can be very
important in establishing a relationship with an
animal. Getting to care for my own two dogs has also
made me enjoy having that presence of a pet.
